Answer:

Though we only offer telephone coaching on our web sites, I would like to answer the question: Does Telephone Coaching Work?

All I can say is that I see great results from my work over the telephone. In fact, let me give you a few reasons as to why coaching couples over the telephone is, at times, preferred by some:

1. The hours are flexible. We are able to work totally around your schedule because I do not have to be in an office to help you. In reality, I like to tell people that I am on call on a 24/7 (24-hour) basis. Though I am not always able to respond to my clients immediately, my clients are typically pleased with my promptness in returning their phone calls or emails.

2. You don't have to make the coaching session a three to four hour experience. In other words, to have a telephone coaching session, you do not have to get dressed up, drive to an office, wait in a waiting room, and drive home.

3. Some people do not like the idea of someone else seeing them or their vehicle at an actual facility. In other words, I have had many marriage and couples coaching sessions with individuals that are working professionals, pastors / ministry leaders, professional athletes, and executives that are in a high-profile position. Private and confidential couple's and / or life coaching over the telephone gives them a feeling of anonymity.

4. Some people are more upfront over the telephone. Some are intimidated or more reserved when in front of an actual person. Phone coaching allows some (not all) to feel a little more at ease.

5. For some reason, men love it. I have a few opinions as to why, but, in my experience, I find that many husbands like the idea of receiving help over the telephone from the privacy of their own home.

All in all, whether you are looking for marriage counseling or coaching, there are a variety of ways that you can receive help in our day and age. Some prefer an in-person setting, whereas others are perfectly fine with receiving help online or over the telephone. Either way, the most important point is that you do something to better your current situation. Trust me when I say that most people and couples do not figure out their marriage problems on their own.
